Sherman Arthur Braden July 20, 1959 - June 28, 2014 Sherman Arthur Braden, 54 of Leesburg, GA died Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Leesburg, GA. Services for Mr. Braden will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. A native of Wheeling, WV, Mr. Braden had resided in Leesburg since 2006. He was employed at the Marine Corps Logistics Base, a veteran of the Gulf War and a retired United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the Marine Corps League and VFW Post #2785. Mr. Braden was also Vice President of the Independent Harley Riders Association of Albany, GA. Survivors include his daughter Stacy Rhodes (Darrell) of Jacksonville, NC, his mother Mary Lou Braden of West Virginia, one granddaughter Tama Rhodes, two sisters Vivian Purdue of Illinois, and Judy Braden of West Virginia and a niece Sarah Purdue of Illinois. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
