The Gathering at the Pilot Station

Wild Santa Toys for Tots had over 60 ride from Albany to Perry for Toys for Tots. The IHRA won the trophy for the biggest group and a story was told of how we got a late start for that ride and barely made it on time. One of the holdups was Kay and Buddy’s son in law, losing his wallet and had to wait for them to arrive so he could get some gas and then how the Hughes' engine light kept coming on and they said, “Heck with it, let’s ride” and also at the half way stop, how John Watts lost his keys to his bike and after much frantic searching, they were found between Matt’s Road King frame and saddlebag. They even raised enough toys, that the Marines were flabbergasted and appreciative with all the donations. Some of the members took advantage of the $2 off coupon to visit the fair which also had Mustang Sally playing for the week. That day, Molly Hatchet was the lead in band for .38 Special at the fair's auditorium.
