Born and raised in Salem County, New Jersey, I am not a Yankee cause I was born in South Jersey. Learned to ride dirt bikes at the age of twelve on the Mojave Desert, California. Graduated from high school in 1981. Joined the Marine Corps through the delayed entry program and left for boot camp on the 25th of September 1981. My Military occupation was in Motor Transport as both Vehicle operator and Maintenance Mechanic. I have served eight years and traveled to eight foreign countries. I received an Honorable Discharge in August of 1989. While stationed here at MCLB Albany, I decided to become acquainted with the Harley Davidson motorcycle. A good friend that was stationed here with me had a 79 Sportster that was broke down more than it ran. So I decided to learn how to repair them first then learn to ride.
In 1996 I bought my first motor which is a 1976 FLH, and I still have it today. My second bike was bought in 2002, it is a 2001 Road king and wrecked on June 25 of 2008. Both bikes are in need of repairs, but I would rather ride than fix them so now I have a 2008 Ultra Classic. This coming year I hope to be more involved with riding activities and enjoy the fellowship that our association has to offer.
